Notes:		 About John Bigger According to John Harris Watts, author of the Head Family Book: "Records show that John Bigger, the father of Col. John Bigger of Calvert County, was transported to Maryland in 1652 by Capt. John Boage of Patuxent Manor. This John Bigger is said to have been a horse trader and was a man of ability." He was evidently a servant and his wife, Ann, was transported in 1654 at the time that he completed his service. (This transportation date for both John and Ann Bigger is confirmed in The Early Settlers of Maryland index by Gust Skordas.) John Boage would later serve as godfather to John Bigger, Jr. (Col. John Bigger), and name him in his will.
